Paraspara the miracle of care and share
Here blooms the wild flower,
Its birth unseen by her gardener.
For his warmth, it had not.
Chance chose to give life,
To the withered seed that found ground.
Let your love touch her,
Like the rays of the morning sun.
There, she blossoms at your care.
And silent words of gratitude,
Her hidden smile now reveals.

In our fast paced world, we dont find time to look around us. Those miserable hands begging at the traffic signals; the lady who lost her mind, and along with it the very dignity of her being; the old man who sees himself decaying, his existence unnoticed.
There is something common in all of them lack of hope, hope of a better tomorrow. One man chose to care, to change their lives forever. Mr. Vidyaakar, with the grit to bring meaning to these desperate souls, started Udavum Karangal (Helping hands) in 1983. This NGO now lights up a smile in many a desolate person.
For all the kind souls who would like to join in this humane endeavor to better our society, we have an opportunity. You can make a huge difference to the life of a needy child by sponsoring her educational needs. This program is more than a mere donation; it lets you see how you lit hope for a deprived child. Our existing sponsors had that golden opportunity recently.
On June 3rd 2007, the event of Paraspara took place. It wasnt just another cultural event by our children. It was an opportunity for our sponsors to meet their wards. For them, it gave the satisfaction of seeing their efforts bear fruit. For the children, they got to see the hidden benefactor who helped them lead a dignified life. The crowd had a festive atmosphere. Games and dance electrifying the place. Children were seen egging their respective sponsors to take part in the games
Shalini, an hyperactive kid danced to her hearts content for an Hindi number. Though, she was sad that her sponsor didnt win the housie housie game. Lakshman, a 5 th std student had hoped that his sponsors would stay a little while longer. Their urge to be loved was apparent in their little eager faces. Adiraa was all praise for her sponsors from E- serve. Their regular visits gave her a sense of belonging. Laughter is infectious!
We saw it spread from our beloved children to our sponsors. I am very happy cos she is always got a smiling face when she looks at me, I only wish I knew Tamil to talk more to her, she is an angel, it is a blessing says a beaming sponsor. Many thanked Mr. Vidyaakar profusely for this endeavor and expressed their wish to have more such meets.
We thank all our sponsors for having made this event what it was meant to be Paraspara - The joy of togetherness Having experienced this bliss, we would want you to spread this joy to your loved ones as well. Lets join hands and strive to make this earth a better place to live.
