18 years back when there were only a few children under the care of papa

Adam Pandari::  I was mentally sick, chained, abused and left out by the family.  Udavum Karangal rescued me, treated me with dignity and care, today my life is useful and helpful.

Nitya Kalyani::  I was discovered and taken up under the care of Udavum Karangal almost 15 years back.  I grew up here and now lead a life of dignity. I am no more an orphan.

Mani::  Mentally sick, I was begging on the street and a tea shop owner poured boiling water on me to chase me away.  I still do not understand how he can ever chase me out like a dog.  Udavum Karangal cared for me and restored me back to the family.

Shanthi::  I grew up under the shades of Udavum Karangal.  Today Pappa has arranged for my marriage and my life has been settled, similarly all three girls got married and settled.  There has been 20 marriages so far at Udavum Karangal.

Selvi::  I was rescued as a victim of child abuse.  I was an orphan until I stepped into Udavum Karangal.  Now I care for more who are victims of child abuse.

Parveendar Singh::  I was picked up as a living corpse.  I was given medical care, and was showered with love and compassion.  Today I live a normal life

Baby Abhilash::  I was dumped in a travel bag, zip was tightened and was left near a drainage.  I was almost dead but saved by Udavum Karangal’s invisible hands of love, and today I am alive.

Kunthi::  With her new born baby Kannan on the street.  I was a victim of rape and sexual abuse.  I was rescued 15 years ago and today my son is studying in a school, while I nurse handicapped children.

Shalini::  I never new the world outside is so bad till I faced it on the streets.  I was rescued and given a new lease of life by Udavum Karangal.

Savitri:: I was thrown into a dustbin soon after my birth.  The dogs had taste of my flesh and I was injured.  The invisible hands cared for me at the right time and today I am alive

Santhana Lakshmi::  I was picked up from the streets when I was 2 years and uncared.  I was brought up here and got myself trained in nursing.  Now I follow the path of selfless service.

Valli Amma::  I lived like animal on the street.  I was provided a path where I found meaning in life.

Tulasi & Dharmesa::  We were on the streets begging for survival and the ray of light was shown to us in the form of Udavum Karangal.  Now we have a stable future.

Shankara Nair::  I was once a rowdy and lived like a dadha in a fish market.  But when I became sick and disabled only helping hands showed me meaning in life.

Nila::  I was used and abused sexually as long as I was healthy.  As an AIDS patient I was cared as a human being and was treated with dignity.

Bangari::   I was a discarded person due to fits and mental disability.  But now at Udavum Karangal I am useful.

Shaktivel Murugan::    I was emotionally disturbed and caused disturbance on the street.  I was pelted with stones and the result was this.  I never knew the world was so unfair.  The invisible hands cared for me at the right time.
