Sondham children’s village has been ideally situated in the suburban area below the serene ‘Maruthamalai’ hills. This home has been established 8 years back. Sontham takes care of abandoned children between the age group 6 months and 8 years. The children are housed in 4 houses and they are cared by trained house mothers who are skilled in shaping the future of the children. Children above the age of three attend to our own school Ramakrishna Vidya Mandir that is adjacent to children’s home. Children are also introduced and trained in various skills like
- Arts and Science activities.
- Spiritual aspects like Bhajans, chanting slokas.
- Fine Arts like music, dance, drawing.
- Sports and games.

Apart from this, part time volunteers who have the bent of mind are encouraged to spend time with the children after school hours and on week ends.
The children of Sontham are often invited to participate and perform in various cultural programmes by the nearby professional colleges whenever there is a function in their college.
