Udavum Karangal has decided to reach out to more deserving and neglected villages near Chidambaram and Cuddalore. Most of the coastal areas are literally wiped away and people have lost not only their belongings but also many precious lives. The villages, which we have identified, are 20 k.m. away from Chidambaram in northeast direction. The natives of these villages are traditionally fishermen community of 2nd and 3rd generation. Whatever emergency relief we are extending, we need to provide them in the camp. We are coordinating with the District Collector and Government departments to extend these facilities in accordance with their guidelines.
